Set on La Goursaline’s hillside, this 65 m² traditional yurt is one of the four gîtes woven into the farm’s wider living landscape. Originally handcrafted in Mongolia, it brings a comforting sense of warmth and craft, while offering the kind of a spacious layout that makes it particularly well suited to families or small groups.
Inside, the circular space feels open and welcoming, with a large double bed, two single beds on the mezzanine, a sofa that can be converted into an extra bed, and the possibility of adding another mattress on request. The result is a stay that can comfortably supplements your outdoor days with intimate moments, whether that means cooking together, a yoga routine, or cuddling up by the fire.
The Yurt has a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, and a relaxing shaded terrace. With its blend of tradition, comfort, and closeness to nature, it offers a memorable way to experience the farm in every season.
Regenerative immersion is never far away. It begins with your stay: rest, breathe, walk, stargaze, swim nearby, soak in the wood-fired tub, join a music night, or treat yourself to a massage.
Home-grown vegetables, wood-fired pizza, and other local delights become gentle entry points into a deeper story, revealing how each element, in its own way, is intentionally rooted in regional social and ecological restoration.
Appealed to combine your stay with an even deeper learning experience? Dive into the interconnectedness of the farm with a half-day introduction into permaculture led by one of your hosts!

If you were to pitch the story of Olivia and David to a publisher, they’d reject it for being a little too evocative. That’s the fairytale you step into when visiting this habitat.
Swiss ex-hospitality and ex-private banking leaving their old lives behind to live the homesteading life in the French countryside.
I mean.. Come on..
However, beyond the romance, La Ferme de la Goursaline tells a much truer story of resilience and regeneration.
Since 2019, Olivia and David have grown into a deepening relationship with the land, its seasons, and the surrounding community. One that is responsive to change, attentive to disturbance, and always willing to keep experimenting with soil, water, food systems, rotating animals, and the reciprocal use of what both the land and their wider community can offer.
On their 3.3-hectare hillside, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, animals, chestnut woodland, and unusual gîtes are not isolated features, but come together in symbiosis. Over the years of care and devotion, they have cultivated a place where hospitality, biodiversity, food production, and ecological learning are all entangled intentionally: From the forest providing for the wood-heated gîtes to the careful use of borehole water that finds its way back into the landscape.
And with every iteration, they seem to create gentle openings for others, local and foreign, into other ways of living. Not by preaching it, but by making it quietly experienceable.

Ferme de la Goursaline is a working farm and shared living landscape. We ask all guests to move through it with care and to respect the rhythm of the place, its animals, and the people who live and work here.
Before your stay, please take a moment to read the following:
Please respect private areas and follow any guidance given on arrival about which spaces are open to guests and which are part of the farm’s daily operations.
Do not pick fruit or vegetables without permission, and please do not feed the animals unless we specifically invite you to do so. Chickens may sometimes be an exception, but only according to the instructions given on site.
If you bring a dog, it is welcome only when kept under control and on a lead where requested, so that sheep, pigs, chickens, and other animals are not disturbed. Please also clean up after your dog.
Please leave your accommodation in a respectful condition. Wash and put away dishes before departure, and follow any check-out instructions shared on site, including bed linen or dry toilet guidance where applicable.
Because the farm uses phyto-purification and other low-impact systems, we encourage guests to use natural shower and dental products where possible, help limit waste, and favour low-waste habits during their stay.
Parties are not allowed, and smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation.
Unless agreed otherwise, arrival is generally between 15:00 and 19:00, and departure is by 11:00. Later arrival or departure may sometimes be possible on request.
We provide free parking on the land and fresh bed linen for your stay. A baby bed can also be provided on request.
Please note that towels are not included, so we ask guests to bring their own.
There is no Wi-Fi in the gîtes, but mobile network coverage on the farm is generally good.
La Goursaline also offers a 3-hour introductory permaculture session combining guided farm exploration, practical teaching, and open discussion. Guests discover the core ethics and design principles of permaculture, see how they are applied across the garden, orchard, animals, and everyday farm systems, and leave with practical ideas to bring into their own garden, land, or life project.
Start the day slowly, without having to think about a thing. A farm breakfast basket can be prepared and delivered directly to your accommodation.
Contents may vary depending on availability, but can include:
Homemade bread (Swiss braid) or 4 small croissants
Local honey
4 eggs to prepare in your gîte as you like
